Last Saturday, I did Michelle’s hair and makeup for her big day! We decided on a low chignon on the nape of her neck. It showed off her shiny brown hair beautifully. Add a crown and a veil, and she’s all set!

I used temptu airbrush foundation on Michelle, as well as makeup from Be Pro eyes, NARS cheeks, Smashbox Lips, and Bobbi Brown eyeliner.

On August 7th, Emilee Frederick married Andrew Cavis, and Studio 9 Salon was fortunate enough to share their big day with them.

I have known Emilee since we were six, so when she asked me to doher hair and makeup for her special day, I was honored to!!

I curled her hair with a curl stick, and left the different spirals as is. Emilee thought they looked most like her natural curl. I left a few pieces in front, and the back was a carefree (organized) mess of curls. It was beautiful.

I used temptu airbrush makeup, as well as be pro and bed head makeup on Emilee, and that completed her look.

My good friend Jaclyn and her new husband Casey were wed over Memorial Day Weekend! I’ve known Jaclyn and her twin sister, Jennifer since I was 6, so it was great to spend a special day with them and their family and friends.

The ladies came to the salon a lot that week– first for some pre- wedding highlights and conditioning treatments, then for a hair trial, then for pre- wedding blowouts, and finally, the wedding day.

The entire bridal party celebrated Jac’s big day at Studio 9 Salon, starting at 9am. Each member of the party celebrated in our private bridal suite, and then came down to get their hair styled and their makeup done.

It was such a fabulous and beautiful wedding. My boyfriend and I danced the night away as Jaclyn and Casey started their new life together.

As mentioned earlier, my fabulous client Jaclyn got married last weekend. She is now honeymooning in Mexico, and I am stealing pictures from her facebook to show you all how amazing she looked!!!!

Jackie and her bridal party celebrated at Studio 9 Salon, enjoying their private bridal suite, mimosas and appetizers. Each guest had their own stylist, and our photographer was in all of the action, taking pictures of the process. Jackie and her ladies walked out looking gorgeous, and she will recieve her photo cd after her honeymoon.

In celebration of having fabulous ISO educators at Studio 9 Salon this week, I thought I would share ISO’s latest color collection with you, Metal.lux.

I was very impressed with this color line, and I even have one of their reds on my hair right now.

The ladies of Sex and the City 2 dazzled on Monday night at the NYC premiere.

Sarah Jessica Parker brightened up her look in Valentino Couture last night, but also brightened up her hair, too.  As seen in this post, SJP usually embraces the easy ombre hair trend. I like the brighter blonde though. It is refeshing to see! Her dress looks amazing and fun, but I was almost expecting more from her!

Kim Cattrall wowed us in a  Naeem Khan gown, and a side swept updo. Very glamorous, and flashy. Perfect for the premiere. I think the girls really stick to their characters a lot, or maybe they have just learned from them. Samantha Jones would pull this look off effortlessly, too.

Kristin Davis was cute as usual. She wore a pink vintage Jean Desses couture gown from Decades, as well as her usual updo. Kristin, nor Charlotte, never wows me with her hair. She always has great color and volume, but she is very vanilla, much like her character. Very pretty though.

Cynthia Nixon looked fabulous, and I am never that impressed with her. I liked her lighter and longer hair, as well as her Carolina Herrera gown. She can get away with both red and blonde hair, but for some reason (and maybe it is because of Miranda Hobbs), I like the blonde better!

Good news, everyone! Aquage products are back at Studio 9 Salon and I am stoked!

I’ve been fortunate enough in my career to see a lot of Aquage styles in action, inlcuding ones done by the infamous Eric Fisher. I couldn’t help but get some products and try some styles myself. I have to say, Aquage is top-notch.

I decided to try out some Aquage products today on one of my clients, Katelina. Tomorrow, she will be a bridesmaid in Jackie’s wedding. Today, I prepped her hair with a fabulous blowout, using Aquage products.

After shampooing and conditioning, I used Aquage’s uplifting foam, using a technique that I learned in Chicago.

First, I zigzaged the uplifting foam on either side of her head, combed through for even distribution, and then sprayed extra product right on the root in the crown area.

This gave Katelina the perfect amount of height and fullness needed for her bridesmaid updo tomorrow, as well as a lasting look that is soft and shiny.

I am as addicted to drama as the rest of ‘em!

I’ve been a Laguna Beach/The Hills fan since the beginning, and as much as I love Lauren Conrad, you have to love Kristin Cavallari, am I right?

With Kristin in charge of the drama on the final season of The Hills, you know things are getting good!

Last week, Kristin hit up the Nylon Young Hollywood Party, and showed off some extensions. Kristin admitted on her twitter account, “The weave is in full force tonight!”, as well as posting a love for her shoes and dress for the night.

Lets check out that weave, shall we?

Back in season two of Laguna Beach, Kristin got extensions for her senior prom. She said she would only ever do glue ins because the individual ones are “gross”. I wonder what she does now for her extensions?

I know she only wears them sometimes, because her hair is very thin and lifeless on The Hills this season.

Speaking of drama, I hear KCav drank too much and got into a little fight at the Nylon Party… with a brunette that Brody Jenner was flirting with! (he left with Kristin afterwards)

Last week, I posted about updo season and what different looks a girl can try for a wedding/prom/event.

This weekend, teen star Demi Lovato went to prom with a friend from Dallas. Apparently a promise since the age of five.

Her look was not an updo at all, just down, wavy and pretty. Classic.

I want to go to Prom!!! Too bad I have a faux-hawk!

We’ve all been waiting for Christina Aguilera’s new cd to come out. She’s been in mommyville for quite sometime now. But she is finally back– and with quite a few new looks in her new Not Myself Tonight music video.

I’ve always wanted to do hair on set, and this video makes me crave it so much. Sure the video is only three minutes long, but Christina has about twelve different looks in those three minutes, and like the name of the song, is not herself. Thats about 24 hours worth of hair right there– How fun is that?
